Female Concealed Carry

I've finally applied for CCW, but even if I get it, can I use it? I'm 5'3", female, flat-chested and a little on the pudgy side. I haven't found any way to carry that works, yet. I have a poochie (similar to smart carry and thunderwear) but it makes me look 5 months pregnant, and it isn't really that easy to draw out of. Also have a regular holster that can hook onto a belt or inside jeans, but I can't find a good place to put it. My bosoms aren't large enough to cause my shirt to flounce out enough to cover the gun.

Do I have to get a breast implant to make use of a CCW license?

I kinda like Mike Miyake's blog, even if I don't understand it. I didn't know that:

Su is 'speed' and shi is 'eat' (and by extension, 'food'). This word isn't necessarily convertible into other non-Chinese East Asian languages: i.e., AFAIK, there is no Japanese sokushoku . . .

But according to his post on Sushi, it's true.

UPDATE: I'm wrong! Mr. Miyake was kind enough to send me an email with corrections:

MM: Sorry for the misunderstanding. The "sushi" in my post title referred to a
Mandarin word pronounced "soo-sher". This has nothing to do with the
Japanese word sushi ("soo-shee"), despite the identical romanization.

ME: Chinese Mandarin fast food sounds like Japanese raw fish??

MM: Yes, it's a total coincidence which I thought was cute. The characters for
the two words are completely different. I'll blog about this later this
week.

Convicted Child Molester Beaten Up by One of His Past Victims in Florida Jail

A convicted child molester was beaten unconscious by one of his past victims while they shared a jail holding cell, authorities said.

The former victim, a 22-year-old man being held on a probation violation, recognized Kevin Kinder as the man who abused him and three other boys when he was 11.

He jumped on Kinder, punched him repeatedly and knocked him unconscious Thursday, said the man's lawyer, Ricky Escobar.

"It's such a fluke that these two ended up in the same place at the same time," said the former victim's mother, Judy Coronett. "But think about how (my son) feels. He was finally able to confront Kinder and fight back after 11 years. I think it's damn therapeutic."

Neither man's jail paperwork indicated their history, so they were inadvertently placed in the same cell with about 65 other inmates.

Corrections officials will decide Friday whether to file new charges against the men. Both suffered minor injuries.

Kinder, 31, is serving 60 years in state prison on a probation violation after serving six years for molesting the four boys. He was in Tampa for a hearing.

Ghosts

I like a good ghost story, such as this one. There are plenty of happenings that aren't readily explainable, although there are plenty more where people are clearly and desperately seeing/hearing etc whatever supports what they want to believe.

I like a good ghost story, but I prefer them to be of the 'it happened to the friend of a cousin of a teacher of my neighbor's dentist' type. I don't want bloomin' documented evidence, & I'm pleased that whatever 'expert' examined the tape has reservations. Why? Well, damn, think about it!

As a Christian, I am okay with the live-die-sleep until judgment day scenario. I am not at all pleased with a live-die-mope around the earth reliving your last acts until judgment day scenario. Yuck. It could be thousands and thousands of years . . . who wants to hang around all that time, unable to participate, unable to leave, unable to communicate . . ?

There are clearly lots and lots of people who want ghosts to be real. Why?? Who wants to be a ghost?
